The Fighters' Lookout

A Place of Remembrance and Heritage

Building a lookout in memory of the Duvdevan Unit's fallen is a way to commemorate the fighters who fell defending the State of Israel, and to create a place of remembrance, honor and inspiration. The lookout is a quiet, dignified meeting place for families, friends and visitors: a place to pause, reflect and remember the fighters' heroism. Alongside commemorating each of the fallen personally, it tells the story of the unit and of the values that defined its fighters: a sense of mission, courage and devotion. It is a place where memory meets the landscape, and where their legacy lives on.

The lookout serves as an open-air classroom for the MEA Mechina.
